Dude, I read "the prince", and Machiavelli was nothing more than a cynic. although he did accurately portray society as a greedy machine, the end does NOT always justify the means. if that were the case, non-profit organizations and humanitarianism would be completely passe'. the fact of the matter is that humanity IS inherently good, the only change we would need is a change in society itself, such as a completely different political movement, like democratic socialism (anarchy is too extreme, and doesn't get much accomplished.) The problem lies in the major conglomorates that feed off the global market, becoming mass money vacuums, so to speak, choking off small business that haven't had time to develop, thus stifling the economy, leading to bitter competition, eventually taken out in society. it ALL boils down to economic greed, my friends.
