I must agree with you both... it is very hard for me to take a strong stand on abortion however... i feel it should be used only in extreme situations as both of you have stated. There is no way i can refute what Gandhi said... he is totally right. I would say however that i worry a little when people like bush becomes president and is given the power to elect a highly conservative supreme court. I worry because we know what happened the last time abortion was made totally illegal, and i worry we will try to do it again. People went to canada to get abortions, or went through the very unprofessional "back ally abortion" where some sharp object is stuck up "there" (a clotheshanger for example), and the fetus is just stabbed to death, or something along those lines. Some things just arnt practical. But yes... abortions in the third trimester certainly are streaching it. I can see having an abortion when the child doesnt have a fully developed brain and has no hope of surviving outside the womb however.
