] Date Posted: 08:48:16 08/10/02 Sat Here's the prototype for a ranking system: It's going to be formulaic so as to avoid favoritism and other subjective crap as much as possible (unfortunately there has to be a little) Factors: 1) Attendance (objective) 10 2) Obedience (more or less subjective) 5 3) Community activity (mostly objective, like checking the site, using the message board) 5 4) Skill: 10 total 4a) Dueling 2 4b) Position particular (ie capping, HO, LD) 5 4c) Command (player does not participate in play, but commands a team) 3 Here's how the formula works. Next to each factor is a point value. Every time you "succeed" at a given task you gain points. Your rank increases every 100 points. For example, every time you win a duel you gain 2 points, cap the flag 5 points, etc. The formula: rank=(attendance/3)+obediance+community+(skill total/3) Ranks are evaluated every week at the beginning of Saturday's practice. You get the full 10 points for attendance if you come to practice all 3 days. Your skill total assumes you come to practice all 3 days. Obediance and community are summary for one week (you only need to use msg board once a week for example) Obediance (subjective) is determined in general by an OER (Officer Evaluation Report, hehe) by your superiors. Thoughts? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
