Your right G'ville has aquired a bad reputation. But so you know It is now under the control of a completely new Association. I am part of it. Our goal is to get the track back like it used to be. The track has great potential. Our number 1 priority is to get the track to hook. Which includes keeping the track surface clean (the main reason it doesn't hook), fixing the humps where the concrete meets the asphault, and a much better track preparation.
I have a outlaw 10.5 truck and I'm gonna make sure that I can go to the track and make some good passes this year. We now have some devoted members that want to make improvements. Right now we are starting the year with NO money. So we've been getting people to join the Organization and becoming a member for $25 a year. This will help us get started. We WILL start on the track improvments as soon as we get some money built up. this first little race is just to get some people out. We have lowered the entry fee this year to $5 spectator (grudge racing and bracket racing) $10 to run on Sat's. And as far a the normal bracket racing we have to wait till we get some money built up. But on Feb 7 we're goning to have a footbrake race with 75% payback just for fun. An Commtronix (the company I work for) is putting up $300 to the quickest car. We're going to prep the track as good as we can for this race. Of course we can't do anything about the hump right now. the track can still hook decent with good prep. I have ran 5.30's before like it is. So with all the racefans and racers support we WILL get this track right this year. I have had the same complants about the track as you have, but now I'm in hear where I can help do something about it. So instead of Dogging the track this year why not help? A $25 membership will help alot plus members will get a discount. $1 off spect. and $2 off racing on Sat's. Maybe later this year we can work with Prescott and put on some street shootouts hear. The key thing is that we are really working to get the track right this year. So please support us.
email me if you have any questions or comments.
