Mo-Kan Dragway just outside of Joplin, Missouri has announced 3 heads-up races to be held May 8, July 31 and October 23 - none of these dates conflict with Clash, Prescott or any other semi-local series. The rules are still being finalized - by the way, this is a 1/4 mile facility but whether or not they run the full 1/4 or use 1/8 I just don't know. More info can be found at www.mokandragway.com

Just read the 2004 rules for Outlaw 10.5 and I'll be sticking a small nitrous kit on board in addition the the hair dryer so I can get that 200lb weight break! Gee, that hopefully will get us down under the mid-5 second range, eh? Let's see, we could get a plastic roll cage, drill some more holes in the heavy stuff like the fenders, take out the glass (I'll put my helmet shield down in case a bug hits me) and if I drain the water in the engine to hell with needing a radiator! Damn, back to the drawing board - hope to see you boys in April!

There are a few of us from up here in NW AR that are interested in your Real Street class but are running 29.5 tires at all the other tracks we run at. We would like to see the class at your track be even more successful and competitive than it already is. All of us would be happy to come and try and compete if the class would allow 29.5. Please consider the rule change and we will see you in the spring with 29.5s! Thanks for your time.

I need to know what prescott considers a pontiac block as. Small block or big block as far as minimum weights go. FWIW All pontiacs from 267 to 541's appear the same on the outside. NSCA allows up to a 477 weighing the same as a small block. 478 and up get a 100 pound weight break under the big blocks. What are prescotts thoughts on this situation?

I just wanted to let everyone that knows Billy know, that we have gotten some good news on his cancer; first off the tumor that was in the sinus passage and two places he had on his brain are all gone, the tumor in the left leg is clear also, and now they are going to send Bill to a Bone Marrow Specialist to see if he will be able to have a bone marrow transplant done to help with the lesions on his backbone. If this is done and it works his doctor says that he should be in remission. He will have to have somemore heavy chemo treatments before they can do it and so that is where everything stands as of now. He goes on the 19th for a test then back on the 22,23 for more test and on the 26th we will see the doctor and he will let us know what they will be able to do.
I just wanted everyone to know how well he is comming along. Bill's e-mail address is redstang351@earthlink.net if anyone wants to get in touch with him.
Our family would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hey Prescott,

Have you considered having a Stock suspension power adder class like the FTSA Factory Street Class or like the Outlaw EZ Street Class that a lot of tracks have? the FTSA have 23+ cars in that class every month, it is very popular. That would feel the gap between Super Street 10.5 and your naturally aspirated class.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHO WON THE BRACKET FINALS????????????
I AM SURE EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO WON THE TEAM EVENT. I AM SURE THE GUYS WHO WORKED THERE A$$ OFF TO WIN THE RACE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THERE NAME AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS POSTED ON THE PRESCOTT RACEWAY WEB PAGE, OR THE NEWSPAPER, I DO NOT KNOW IF THE NEWSPAPER DOES NOT LIKE PRESCOTT RACEWAY OR IF IT IS SELECTIVELY SENT IN BECAUSE UNLESS IT IS A WELL KNOWN PRESCOTT RACER OR A HOUSE CAR IT IS USUALLY NOT IN THE PAPER OR POSTED ON THE WEB PAGE. BUT THE WEB PAGE IS NEVER UPDATED ANYWAY BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE THE SAME BORING STORY AND PICTURE ON THE FRONT PAGE SINCE EARLY IN THE YEAR AND THE RESULTS ARE NEVER UPDATED. IF SOMEONE KNOWS WHICH TEAM WON PLEASE POST THE RESULTS.

After hearing that the CDS Mustang has gone back to the chassis shop to be fitted for 33" tires, those guys take the cake. After making 2,000 supposed hp in a former badass NMCA car, wouldn't they try and get a baseline set up before making even more changes? Another ton of cash and they might hit the 4's this season.

As you can see from the post below Kevin Moffett asked me call him and I did. He is having trouble with his DVD playing correctly. If anyone has purchased a DVD from me and is having any complications with it either shoot me an e-mail at towensby@satx.rr.com or call me at 210-367-8234 or you can leave your number on here and I will call you. I will take care of the situation as it arises. This is the first time I have encountered this problem and hopefully the last. I used the same brand disc but one that can be burned at a higher rate of speed. Hopefully no one else will encounter any problems. If you do please contact me and let me know so I can take care of it. I will back my product up 100%.

WOW! What a night deep in the woods out in God's country! LOL It was a TON of fun for me at the closing race of the year for the Prescott Outlaws. I look forward to next year and hope to see new cars and see all the old ones go faster! I travel a good ways just to video the races up there and I may be tired when I get home but it is always worth the trip. You guys never cease to amaze me with the amount of fans that show at each race. It is truly awesome, or should I say "excellent" as the Junkman says. The racers are always giving it all they have for the fans. True competitors in every right, in every class. The race program is a good one and I really hope to see it flourish next season. Good luck to everyone in their "wrenching endeavours" over the winter.
