She had managed to talk Tassia into letting her run rampant in the kitchen for a while, and she'd tested her culinary skills - to come out with something half decent, and had set up the bedroom with their food and candles, waiting for him to come home. She'd felt great all day, and had had a change of heart on this whole revealing thing - she would tell him tonight during the dinner she'd prepared for his birthday.

She was lighting one last candle and just shaking out her match when she heard him come up the stairs and smoothed the front of her silk sheath, thinking to herself that this would be one of the last times in a long time that she would be able to wear something and look so damn sexy. She smiled - she was pretty damn proud of herself - the meal, the setting - she'd even cleaned their room, and herself as well, her dark hair falling in near tangles down her bare shoulders, the creme colored shift contrasting nicely with her tanned skin. She was so relieved that he was okay with this - not just okay, but happy about it, or seemed to be - that her body flooded with relief like cool water filling a quenched riverbed, and she sagged against him - it was for real - and she could keep it.
