Subject: Don't leave me this way.. I can't survive, can't stay alive - don't leave me this way...

They'd been gone a long time, the dreams that had so plagued her before she'd completely surrendered her heart to him, herself entirely to him, but tonight, as she slept, curled up beside him, one hand unconciously pressed flat against her soon to swell belly, she jerked awake, haunted by the sounds of him calling for her, of the sensation of crying, and waking up with salty eyes. Her eyes flew open and she lay on her back for a moment, allowing them to adjust to the dark before she whispered hoarsely, as though she'd really been screaming and crying as she'd dreamt - "Luc?" She sounded as scared as she felt, she realized, her heart beating like a jackhammer.

It was almost two hours later that the chaos erupted. The front doors busted open and Adrian along with about five other men who were shouting out orders and going through the doors - presumably searching the house. He was about to push her out of the way before he realized who it was. He had a soft spot for the woman, maybe because she reminded him of his Angel. He reached out his arms to stead her, large arms keeping her up. "No..no sweetie..he's not dead." He swallowed lightly, letting out a breath. "Both Taylor and Luc are at the private hospital..." She felt better having a task - not better, but better than she would be if she had been sitting, waiting for him, and so she nodded, hurrying back toward the office, and set to his task, her hands shaking as she went - so hard in some instances that she couldn't perform.
