Apparantly, this area has a rather long history of being an odd place to spend a few moments and let me tell you just exactly why.

I haven't been in the area myself -- well not yet, anyway -- but my grandfather has on more than one occasion. Not up and down the trail, no, but along the banks fishing.

According to what he told me, he could hear something walking along the bank large enough to crush and break the brush along the riverbank. He didn't say he believed it was a ghost -- he actually thought it to be maybe a large cat, like a panther.

And, to the guy who posted before this, Mr. Wooton no longer owns the bit of property. An uncle of mine who has actually been through the area on ATV (although he didn't say if there were any abnormallities in the area he witnessed or experienced) a few times said someone with the last name Hoskins now has possesion.

I personally plan to make a trip of my own through this area this summer (or maybe over spring break) and see just what the hell is going on. Maybe I'll come back and post an update.
