Subject: new to site

my father directed me to your site tonight out of curiosity;parents in the process of moving to madison county. while west of berea in july, my father and i visited an 'indian' mound on private property, in the vicinity of danville. a local minister told us the mound had been breached by a property owner searching for anything of value (there was nothing saleable, apparently), but there was some vague reference to something being displayed in a store window. it must've been a few years back, as there are few businesses active now, but we found another, fairly young local who told us where to look. this guy was almost out of an h.p. lovecraft book, very primitive and superstitious in a way i'd never encountered before in ky, and he grabbed at our map with some kind of amazement. he said the mound had been excavated by some people from a nearby college, bones were removed, and that supposedly several died as part of a 'curse'. i did photograph the mound surreptitiously, and although it had become overgrown, it did look as if someone had roughly dug a big gash into it at one point. the minister laughed off the 'curse' story, but there was the impression that some of the displayed relics in the window may have indeed been human bones. the other guy we spoke with, however unusual, had been pretty convinced, though: he wouldn't get near the mound. anyone have any more mound stories, or know of other ky mound locations?
