Subject: Shatner sightings

I have had many close encounters with Capt. Quirk over the years. I used to be a cook at Roy and Nadine's (an over-priced restaurant in Lex.) and Shatner came in alot for lunch during the spring and fall. Most of the time he was completely unremarkable and unrecognizable dressing like any other member of the horse gentry including a baseball cap to cover up his balness. However, on occasion he would be rather rude to servers or patrons and usually this was caused by someone mentioning Star Trek or Kirk to him. One time in particular he berated a woman at the table next to him for telling her companion that "Capt. Kirk was sitting behind her". I always thought this was weird since, let's face it, Star Trek is the only thing he's really done in his career. I mean, was he looking for people to say "Hey look its TJ Hooker". Plus without ST he would have never been in a position to buy a horse farm AND he constantly capitalizes in Kirk when it suits him ie when he can make some money off of it. I want to emphasize that none of these people were behaving like star struck groupies or interupting his meals or anything like that. It just seemed like he wanted to be able to turn the Kirk thing off completely while he was in Lexington.
