Interresting post: but the whole system is flawed and out of control not just Oireachtas but at feisanna to how you become certifed...As someone on the outside looking in the politics of ID reach from the top to the bottom. It sucks and won't be changed anytime soon, If they ever pass me on the exam the region I'm in better watch out I'm not a push over...and will have no problem being the black sheep,
BTW a person can have there TCRG removed and banned from the organizion... It was done to a lady in Toronto late 1980's early 1990's. So to some they play along to get along.

Yep, and she knew how to dance, and knew how to teach, in fact she even had turned out toes!!!!Imagine that! She also had a jealous, bitter mother who couldn't let years of bitterness go, even after her daughter had proven herself to be a great champion. Imagine how the bitter mothers that never had TRUE champions feel!

Why are the Mothers & Fathers always to blame, when they have so little input in the way the class's are run? At our school we never even got into the class room, and heard so many awful things that happened after the class? Yet the Mothers and Fathers are the ones who run the kids to dance class, supply the costumes, support the organization etc.... I'm all for a great Teacher that does so much, but it's time to give support to the dancer's that are so dedicated and talented and the parents that make it all possible, lets get down to basic's if it was not for the Irish Dance Family, the school's would not Survive!

Well in my experience some, not all, deserve this title!!!
Some parents (we all know someone) take it all way to seriously. I for one say, it's not the places at comps we remember, but the memories and friends along the way.
