Subject: move on up!

Just a question which no one, not even dance teacher, has given a clear answer to...if a beginner dancer places first or second in all her dances and at feis....does she move up to advanced beginner in her next feis, or does she dance for one full year before going to advanced beginner, or does it depend on how many dancers she competed with...very confusing and frustrating for a new person!

There are always a large number of dancers stuck in Novice but moving up after winning B1, BII just opens up the field for newer dancers to feel sucessful.

[> ok well im in the SR, and here is how it works for my school: if a beginner places well enough to move into advanced beginner, then he/she does so. however if he/she doesnt place well enough to move up within a year, he/she automatically moves up to advanced beginner. -- Anonymous, 22:18:33 06/28/05 Tue [1]

It depends on your teacher and if they think you are ready to move up!!!

Most of the time a biggner dancer stays at that level for a year then moves up to ada. biggner. Then if you win 1,2 or 3 you move up to novice.
