Kleiner Engel, flieg mit mir,
zu den Sternen wollen wir.
Lass uns bei den Händen fassen,
für kurze Zeit die Welt verlassen.

Hoch hinauf ins Himmelszelt,
wo für jeden Traum ein Sternlein steht.

Kleiner Engel, flieg mit mir,
zu dem goldenen Mond wollen wir.
Der da sammelt die Geschichten,
das niemand sie kann je vernichten.

Lass uns sie besuchen geh'n,
dort oben sie am Himmel seh'n

zu der Sonne wollen wir.
Die Gedichte sie bewacht,
bei Tag und auch bei Nacht.

Lass uns sie begrüßen,
ihr danken das sie, sie behütet.

einmal nur weit fort von hier.
