Subject: my computer wont restart in dos mode Author: chris [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 08:59:32 09/04/02 Wed hi! i am new to computer stuff and foolishly changed the vgafull.3gr file into an .exe file!meaning i couldnt get any kind of ms-dos to work! i managed to retrieve the vgafull.3gr file by finding the file on my brothers computer which i saved to disk and placed it in my windows system folder and i deleted the damaged vgafull.exe file! i can now open up ms-dos through windows but when i try to restart the computer in ms-dos mode the system just reboots and takes me back to windows! is there any way i can restore the "restart the computer in ms-dos mode" or have i completly knakered it all up? ive looked at the microsoft help pages but am not getting any further with the problem! i am using windows 98 by the way! any help in simple terms would be greatly appreciated! cheers chris bluebug73@yahoo.co.uk [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]
