We would like to thank all the parents who took the time to volunteer and help in making the show a success. It was an honor and pleasure to chair the dance, but as we all know it cannot be done alone. From making the baskets to laying the floors every function ran smoothly because of the great coordinators that were in charge. Trena and Maureen M., our basket coordinators, put the baskets together with care and it showed. Mike Lane and Tim Sullivan worked endlessly putting down those floors (not an easy job) . Thank you Eileen McNally and Peg Walsh for all your support and help and Laura Fallon for coordinating the dessert table. It was nice to see not only parents but our Senior Dancers who even came back to help. Leanne, Barbara P and Meghan McNally, thank you. Lastly, thank you to our dancers who took time and helped their parents from designing the place cards to help setting up. To all of you, THANK YOU! You are the reason our show was a success.

The Oireachtas planning committee has been receiving questions from parents regarding the room reservations.
The Marriott has responded to the committee with the following:
"There were several faxes that we could not read. Everyone was asked to hold on to their confirmation if there was a problem. Parents are to call in house reservations at 215-625-6139 after 10 days. They will be asked to resend their form along with the fax confirmation. Please be sure that everyone understands that if they sent a fax and they have the confirmation their reservation will be honored."
Many parents have not waited the 10 days and are not receiving proper answers from the Marriott. Please make sure that you retain your fax confirmation and call the Marriott at the above number on Thursday, 10/09/08 if you have not received a reservation by that time. If you experience any further issues, you may e-mail the committee at MAROireachtas@aol.com

Thank you to our Chairpersons Pat and Donna for the great success of our Annual Long Island Show and Dance. It was a wonderful evening and the Dancers were great.
The raffle baskets were spectacular, thanks to Trena, Maureen M, and their great committee.
A thank you to all parents who showed great school spirit by helping and working on committees, including Billy and Alice, who came out of retirement to do music and announce.

I will be taping the entire show again this year(can't stay away)and since alot of people don't have blank dvd's; I'm just going to ask for 2 dollars and I'll supply the dvd's myself. Write your name and number on a piece of paper and either give it to Viv or myself at the show.
Lindsay will be home for a week starting the 20th and she wants to go to all the classes she can. I can hand out the dvd's that week. Mon Amityville, Tues Port Jeff, Wed Sayville. See you guys Sat.

We would like to let everyone know that the checks for the tickets/tables will be deposited today.
We would also like to ask if there is anyone who has not had a chance to sign up to volunteer for the Show and is interested in helping, it is not too late to do so. There are some areas that we are in need of help with and would greatlyyyyyyyyy appreciate your time. If interested please let Pat, Donna or Irene know.
If anyone has signed up to help with Set-up/Decorating the day of the show, we will be starting around 10am. Again, if you have not signed up and this is something you would like to do please let us know as we have 50+ tables to set up and would love to have the extra hands to help.

A request has been made for volunteers for the Oireachtas. You are asked to give ONE HOUR Per Family. The Oireachtas Schedule has been posted on the Mid Atlantic Website :
