Batman isn't smarter than SUPERMAN. The thing is that Batman is overrated. The writers always mess up other characters to make him look good. He doens't stand a chance in hell agaisnt the man of steel. Superman has defeated gods by sheer of power and brains. He won't have much of a problem whooping a dude wearing a rat winged outfit.
