Pinpricks of anger trickled down her spine and into the appendages of her massive paws. It stung and tingled so much she had to flex her claw holsters to keep herself from fidgeting even more. Black trimmed arrows stirred and flicked, outwardly showing annoyance. Also broadcasting the cougars uncomfort was the lashing of the whole back of her thick tail as well as slitted eyes and pulled back whiskers, as if the fem didn’t want them forward to detect the other cats around her form. Not to mention that her statued stance was rigid. Claws now firmly dug into the earth for register of motion waves her fur pricked up and stood upon end, catching the slightest of wind shifts and air currents as well as the repulsing closeness of all the felines. Due to her own unkept annoyance and on end fur static electricity wove it’s way through her pelt, sparking to the touch. Too close, back off, the nearness of this small group poked and prodded at her natural instincts and rubbed her the wrong way. The wish to lash out at the nearest face with a paw full of claws threatened to snare her nerves. This wasn’t right, this was against all respects of felines. By instinct and nature all these cats were solitary creatures and now here they were, like some cult driven pride, it disgusted the sandpaper colored puma. Inching to the rim of the group she calmed herself a bit but couldn’t check a humming throat growl. Black slitted lines were embedded into her amber pools as her eyes watched the band.
This is insane…
Faye muttered to herself, then out loud to Crypt.
Alright, here’s something, give me one good reason to be in close range with all these cats and go against our instincts as loners. If I agree then I might remotely consider your proposal.
It probably wouldn’t happen but, let’s at least hear him say something, quiet little kitten aren’t you? Mountain lion could already hear the laws of nature braking with acute radar waves. She would much rather live in a land where everyone lived with a shred of respect for personal space and boundaries. When the snow leopard and Night Assassin showed she slitted her eyes again, ears pulled back, in her mind she thought, back off Snowy, you too Sassy. With a snort and the wish to damn all feline morals to hell she waited for a reply to her question. Her capacity to put up with all this crap quickly filling as she sat bordering these others.
