sodden quagmire giving way beneath lithe frame of
raven-stained fatale, talons caked with loam, pincers
making solid engravements hungrily. Shrouded in mist
of the night, pitch-black welkin envelloping the
embarking figure, making flesh indistinguishable from
the shadows. Melding with the darkness, shebeast
continues her trek, as she had just taken leave from
abandoned territory. Cowards... Depthless oids scan
immediate surroundings, flared nares detecting scents
of others drifting on stifling zephyrs, but no sounds
disturbed muffled silence. Twin peaks now held at
half-mast, embers narrow slight, wary, cautious,
scrutinizing. Sculpted pate swivels around to view a
passing quail though no time would be wasted on it.
Talons grasp the loam, halt performed, bristled plume
held at claim against sinewy haunch as further
developments awaited. .x
