This is my story... It all started with my great grandmother, Lilia Banes. She was so beautiful with her sleek and shiny fur and her deep blue-violet eyes. Every badger was entranced with her beauty and her stunning healing powers. She knew about every herb and cure. One day a wandering badger came to seek her help. He was deeply wounded and survived a treacherous war in his village.

Lilia used her knowledge of herbs and concocted a cure so amazing that the badger asked to be by her side for life! He didn't want to miss an opportunity like this. He had fallen in love with her the first moment he saw her. She didn't know what to say. She didn't even know his name! When she asked for it, he refused to give his name. He said, "I will tell you my name if you will tell me yours for I have come here on a friend's word."

She told him that her name was Lilia Banes. He told her that his name was Lionel Finral. She soon got to know him and said yes to his earlier proposal. They had a secret ceremony and only their closest friends were there to witness this wonderful event. They had one child named Artherius Finilia, my grandfather. My great grandmother and Lionel decided to merge their names for now their families are forever bound.

Artherius followed in his father's footsteps as a fighter. He fought courageously and soon had a family of his own. He had found a mate in an infirmary for he had severe wounds just like his father did. She was a nurse and he was her patient. He had nothing else to do besides stare at the ceiling and think about his life ahead. He talked to her and told her about his life. She did the same. Her name was Angeline Ferius. After he had healed they got married and had two children. Their names were Cecile and Lina Ferilia.

Lina is my mother. She took her own path and traveled a lot. She came upon Redwall Abbey and met a nice badger there named Arithmus Filia. He was a lookout for wanderers coming to Redwall Abbey. He saw her and immediately felt a deep overwhelming feeling of calmness and peace. She gave her name when she saw him and he gave his. She felt like she was home and fell in love with Arithmus. They had a festive ceremony and everyone was joyous when my mother had me.

They decided to honor my family's names and named me Angel Filinia. Angel for my grandmother and Filinia is a mix of my family's last names. That is how I came to be Angel Filinia.
