My full name is Freebreeze Ruddertail. I am a silver river otter. My parents named me Freebreeze because of my shooting ability and my hatred of slavery, and Ruddertail because I swim very fast. My tribe lives close to the sea , and I am an exellent fisher.

I left my tribe at a young age to find peace from my warlike family. I took only my black tunic and my bow and arrows. On my journey I had little trouble exept for a tribe of water rats who threw rocks and stones at me. Were they surprised when they saw what a good shot I was! After that I made my journey safely to Redwall.

When I saw the towering walls of the Abbey, I was awestruck at their size. I gathered up my courage and knocked on the front gates. The gates swung slowly open with a creak, and I walked inside.

Now, I call Redwall Abbey my home. i have found friends in DAB, and happily participate in all the activities. I love to join the kitchen raids and the secret feasts under the tables in the great hall. I try hard to avoid Mother Mellus' daily scrubs and punishments. I dream of fighting greatrats and marlfoxes with my friends, and at the same time calling out Redwall's battlecry : Redwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllll
