When I was just one season old I decided to leave home, or what I thought was home. My father was a leader of a strong tribe of ferrets. Which was unusual, because ferrets don't travel in tribes. My mother Aluthiana was angry at my father for many of his choices and disagreed no matter what he said. One night when they were in a very big fight she left and never came back. Being a memeber of the tribe when I was born they tattooed my paw with a keyhole. To this day I haven't been able to get rid of it. In fits of rage I tried to rip it off with a knife, but failed. But I ran away soon after my mother, because my father was angry at her and blaming others. I was scared and ran fast through the thin trees. I soon reached the end of the island that the Tribe stayed. A small vermin ship lay at bay and I swung aboard. Soon I was at sea and heading fast towards new land. Before long I reached a dark forest looming up in the distance. The moon reflected off of the dark damp leaves and the sand glowed. I beached the ship and left it there. I didn't care about going back out to sea again. I had been sick for days. I traveled through the forest not meeting many creatures for miles. Soon I came to a stream close to the path. Many otters were swimming playfully when I saw them. Lots of them stopped and turned to the other side of the river to glare at me. That was the first time I realized that I was different and would be taken differently for my whole life. Beasts would discriminate against my ferretness and hate me. I just smiled at them and introduced myself. A tall male otter, tattooed may I say, otter walked up to me and held out a paw. I gripped it tightly and continued to smile at him. His stern face turned into a grin. The rest of the otters relaxed and returned to ease. I was introduced to many other otters and they said that the best place for me to go, since I was still a young otter, was Moonlake Village. I was taken there and lived for a season in peace. But nobeast took me seriously and liked me for me. Soon I returned to the sea and made a makeshift ship. Luckily I never hit any storms when I traveled to Mossflower. I found Redwall with a little difficulty, but I loved the dibbun club and I make tons of trouble. Dibbuns don't care if you're a ferret or not.
