We were wanderers, with few possesions. Dad was a proficient archer. It was him who taught me. That's why I'm so good at archery. I guess we wandered too far, because my parents led me (well, Dad led us, actually) to a small brook. During the night, a band of ferrets went in and grabbed my parents. They didn't see me, because I was sleeping in a tree. I like to sleep in trees. I was awakened by my mother's screams. I saw the ferrets. They had just finished killing my father and now they were slitting Mother's throat. I grabbed my bow and arrows and sent them packing. Then I came down out of the tree and looked at mother.
