"Did you now! You didn't save any for me did ya?"
"No! Siwwy Daddy! Zay fa afa dinna!" Sunflower said, shaking a paw at her father.
"Sunflower, there you are, its time for dinner! Oh my, look at your ear! I think you need to clean it, or that berry juice will infect it." Robincall said, poking her head out the door of there house.
Sunflower frowned at her mother.
"Ah, Mommy, do i haf ta?"
"Yes, unless you want to get rid of that earring." she said, carring Sunflower into the house.
When Sunflower was a season and a half, she had the tip of her left ear pierced by Lily Willowbanks, a young otter of about 16 seasons who was the niese of the Skipper of Otters, who was visiting the village. Her parents disapproved of it at first, but couldn't help admitting that Sunflower looked adorable with the small sunflower shaped earring. She had to clean it about twice a week to keep it from getting infected.
After dinner Sunflower was put to bed by her Grandparents, told a story by her father and then sang to sleep by her mother.
This was the average day for Sunflower. Little did she know that this peaceful life would not last much longer.
