Aliens blows Alien away. It's faster paced with a much better story. Alien was more of a horror flick and Aliens goes above and beyond that idea to deliver a more action based movie with some suspenseful elements. It's hard to compare the both since they are so different, but in my opinion Aliens is vastly superior. Plus having more than one alien to deal with is a bonus.
