We can never celebrate on someone's demise or misfortune, that would be in-humane isnt it? however, there is a saying in the good Book; "you reap what you sow"

Mt. Hagen the 3rd city in PNG has gone to the dogs before the Kappal centre was burnt down. People from provinces like Enga, SHP, EHP and Simbu province look up to Western Highlands as the centre for the Highlands provinces and it was declared the 3rd city. However, the constant harrassments, hold-ups and petty thefts that seemed so frequent targeting Engans, SHP, EHP and Chimbu's by the WHP landowners. People even feared getting off the plane or to say enter the bank premises and come out. The city has become a haven for hooligans and thiefs and opportunity seekers, making shopping, banking and other commerical activities dangerous.

There is an Engan saying, never pee or excrete at your own home's fireplace, because if you do, you bring curse to yourself. Before the Kappal house was burnt down, already the people excreted and peed in their own fireplace at home, creating a mass out of PNG's 3rd city.

It is a sad event, however, resources and developments of a town or a province depends on the people themselves, if they are not careful and take care of their resources and developments, surely, everything will end up with the dogs. "Reap what you sow", cant blame anyone, but they need to look closely at themselves.
