I wish to invest in and to assist in constructing a tourist venture near Wabag.
The aim is to develop the hospitality potential of Enga.
Part of my investment is to train young Engan men and women in the art of international tourism and hotel management.
Therefore there will be construction and education activity that may, with the good will of the Engan administration, provide willing participants with the skills that may drive this urgent economy.
Much of this is dependent upon communications and I would be very grateful if you could advise me if there is Internet availability in and around Wabag.

Successful hospitality is totally reliant upon international communications and if there is suitable Internet [satellite or wireless] then marketing is so much easier and so much more successful.

Where you have a phone line, internet connection isn't a problem. All you net you do is to go and see one of the internet service providers and pay for this service. Wabag is not too far behind in technology, there are some things you can do even from Malaumanda, ie if you know where it is.

Malaumanda? Sori tumas tasol mi no save displa samting. Isn't there a satellite service in Enga? Dialup is tedious and unreliable.
Does everybody use dialup in Wabag? What about at Porgera?

employees of placer porgera mine have internet services. i presume that internet services would be accessed throught a phone line (using modem).

during discussions on the tourism and hospitality business in enga in this forum, the thought to engage lecturers and engan students of school of business administration to provide specific seminars to local engans in the business was not expelled but was kept as reserved topic.

Yangom Hotel's comment: "Successful hospitality is totally reliant upon international communications and if there is suitable Internet [satellite or wireless] then marketing is so much easier and so much more successful."

is not totally correct in my right frame of mind. Prior to internet services be introduced in the world, was this business not available, or in absence of internet services wasn't the industry adequately facilitated by the other streams of services.

one essential point engans got to be stronger with is being content with what is available and thus, working your way up and creating structures to facilitate establishment of essential and more efficiency structures later when the demand is very high.

being realistic and using available resources to progress is better. engans have to be able to use available resources meaningfully.

i would not buy your management.

Larsen, you already have experienced my management, wantok. When we are up and running please come to see me for a cup of tea and we will laugh at your comment.

Have you ever been engaged in international hospitality before?

Have you credentials to make such a fatuous remark?

I appreciate the fact that you pretend to run this forum as your name appears as an authority on just about every subject. When you see our hotel running and employing young Engans you may need to shake your woody head and to realise you have blurted out just a little too often.

But I welcome your comments for you are an intelligent person. But can you see straight or is that another Larsen?

(1)thankyou for the invitation to a cup of tea however, i rather be more happier if the value of the service and the cup of tea (which would have otherwise be enjoyed by me) be kindly offered to a common engan, especially one who walking home from wabag town due to no busfare. i would be much appreciative.
(2)a laugh over a cup of tea of my comment; i do not withdraw my initial comments but are reserved for a better time. the invitation would be reserved.
(3)i do not have experiences in international hospitality but am eager to learn it having heard of it being spoken. Thus, my practical experiences limit my scope but I am equally eligible to learn international hospitality in short span of time(-this means i would have to forego my fishing trip on weekend). Then, I will provide a comment if you accept.
(4)dominance in forum; i thought i have partly exercised my freedom of express and i am not the owner or adiministration officer for the forum; deemed it was a public service.
(5)as a real engan, when i observe your facility i would really be appreciative of my comment; "yes, he/she has done with limited assistance".
(6) i do not shake my head, stopped when i left Tari community school.
(7)woody head; i think i have a head as every human if you think otherwise.
(8)after your thoughtful coments, you accepted my comments which is better.
(9)i deem it is not a challenge of what you observe but a challenge to seeing the creation of the positives in minds for the betterment of all, especially enga.
(10)your comments evidently cultivated a unwanted challenge to the common engans, as percieved by me. all businesses, government operations and indvidual operations are working with no access to internet services (except that only 1 per cent would enjoy such services).
-after having being informed twice, i would have appreciated a comment enquiring the expansion of such services in the province so that this service is ofterred in a competitive environment.

as such i still do not buy your management

Why do people resort to swearing when discussions/comments don't suit what they like to hear. It seem as though Mr . is another of those spoiled kids born on the wrong side of the bed. he certainly isn't Engan.

We understand. Part of you is from Sari and the other part is from Tari. Does this mean Larsen is the Tari Sari songster? Ot perhaps the Sari Tari songster? We are confused.

It is obvious that Enga does not need a hotel. I realise it needs alcohol but it seems not to be mature enough to countenance a hospitality venture. This is a pity. We were almost committed to investing K500000 in Wabag or somewhere near the Engan capital. But on investigation it appears that a sense of political and social immaturity pervades. No one will risk such capital without participation by the elite and the intelligent.
As they say in Afghanistan: Yongam oooooooo

guys forget about this homosapien who have been breed on the wrong side of the bed....he seems to fantasis on skul mangi assignments he was assigned to! maybe, he needs to drink some spice soup to make him think and talk more like an engan and not like a victim of a paedophile!!! you talk about tech? enga is not behind that! you've got VSATs, dialups, microwave(comming soon though digicel), you see, enga is not left out on tech shit! you wanna know, come home and investigate, otherwise, get back and do some surfing on the international whores, not hotel!!! so that you can be rewarded for your hospitality by a wannabe!!
