The girls will die most likely, along with the men that infected them. AIDS does not discriminate and it affects not only the individual and their families, but the community and the whole country. When a tragedy like this happens, I think people’s gut reaction is anger and a desire to find someone to blame but I believe the blame is still on our young girls. We can partly blame the HIV virus infested men who are deliberately going around making our young vulnerable girls sick but these young school girls are not still in their diapers and don’t know what they are doing. They are old enough to use their God given faculty of knowledge to make sound decisions. They weren’t born yesterday! These girls should have decided to err on the side of caution. Furthermore, I don’t want to be cynical here but these girls are not genuine students . If they we, then they would have set their priorities right – Education and not shagging around regardless of what the situation might have been. We have to accept the fact that these girls were just too ignorant despite the countless awareness that had been going on about HIV AIDS. These girls have deliberately committed suicide because they are tired of living so be it! It seems that the more and more awareness of this dreadful disease is made, the more and more ignorant people are becoming. It makes one wonder what could be the next most appropriate method to use to educate our people not to get sick. God help us to stay faithful! [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
