FOR THE PEOPLE OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA TO KNOW
_____________________________________________________________________

PNG people should be concerned about Somare's latest moves to turn the
business interests of PNG into Somare Inc.

IPBC controls all of the PNG government's interests including its 18%
ownership of Oilsearch. IPBC has now been put under the supervision of
Arthur Somare even though Michael Somare is the caretaker Minister for
that portfolio.

Somare has now appointed Glen Blake to IPBC Board and appointed Sana
Somare, his eldest son, to PNG Power Board.

Glen Blake is the Managing Director of the Somare family companies Damai
Investments and SBA Constructions Ltd.

Sana Somare is the Managing Director of SBA Construction, a small
contractor company in Wewak.

Sana and Glen Blake are directors on the boards of these two companies
with all the other somare children.

SBA stands for Sana, Bertha and Arthur construction.

By appointing Blake and Sana to the different boards of the statutory
enterprises and IPBC under control of Arthur, Somare is turning IPBC and
PNG Government's business interests into "Somare Inc."

source: from someone very concerned

Sana Somare is also on the Telikom Board.
Pacom partly owns B Mobile, Pacom is owned by Simon Kaiwi the President
of National Alliance Party (NA).
No wonder there is a lot of fuss about Digicel in PNG; these greedy
people will go out of business thru fair & square competition, so they
cannot rough it up with the big boys in this industry!

In any economy of a country, a government that
goes against competition is always a corrupt government.

Somare is one such a corrupt man who is helped by his uncle patrick and his son authur and his daughter called bertha.

I just pray that one day corruption will become a history lesson in primary schools when chosen engans and other God's chosen people take over.
In the meantime, I do not know what to do.

well, this is not the first time, for your info. whether its accepted or not, this is sepiks' teritory. your very MPs are inside the haus tambaran. Also, this is a coincidence of Snr Somare's speech at the NA conference(UPNG)..get a copy of SUnday's (11-11-2007) Chronicle. He said Momase has to rise and hold the power. And the NA leadership goes back to sepiks. oh my poor highlanders...reminds me of the events leading towards the formation of the NA led govt. anyway, I'll leave you with this short statement/story; you can find this on post courier's DRUM section, my favorite.

TASTY TAMBARAN!
Little lad, two years, in Kokopo saw his grandpa carrying a plastic bagfull of rambutan fruit over the weekend. Having just returned from another province where rambutan is not popular he curiously asked his bubu about the weird fruit, to be told it was called rambutan. He fell in love with it eating his first three. He asked for more saying.....Bubu mi laikim sampla moa Tambaran!

Enjoy

In the 1989 Barnett Inquiry with Judge Tos Barnett as head (commisioned by P Wingti), it was recommended that Michael Somare be prosecuted for forestry corruption. Only one volume of the report was ever made public and of course nothing was pursued. The Chief's first big escape from justice.

Question-will he finally be brought to justice and prosecuted, or will he succeed in covering up yet another recommendation to prosecute him?
