The MP elect for Kompiam Ambum Open Seat in the Enga province is shrouded in serious questionable acts. He has a lot of questions to answer.
The truth is as clear as daylight. Serious flaws and foul play has been the order of the day during the polling period.
The Returning Officer for the Electorate colluded with Mr John Pundari and diverted 6 Ballot Boxes that were intended for Wali-Talua, Pinai, Keman, Yangis and other remote places along the border of Sepik Provinces to John Pundari's village. These ballot boxes were casted for John Pundari during that night before the polling took place.
Thousands of remote villagers from the above places NEVER voted because the ballot boxes never made it to the designated places. They waited in vain. This is outrageous. A clear deprivation of the citizen's democratic right to choose any candidate of their choice never eventuated.
This debacle led to 3 lives lost. The councillor of one of these sites went to Wabag to report his frustration to the Enga Province Election Manager was shot dead in Wabag. It is believed John Pundari's supporters who didn't want anyone to expose their foul play are the main suspects for this Innocent councillor's death. Two other people from Upper Ambum area of Monokam were shot dead by the Returning Officer's men. All these stories were reported on the daily papers.
John Pundari should know well how democratic process should be respected. He was once the Speaker and Deputy Prime Minister.
How on earth, can such a person delve into such unthinkable practices in a desperate ploy to get back into Parliament?
John Pundari has a huge explanation to do on how he forcefully mandated himself to be the MP. He is definitely NOT the people's choice.
The Kompiam Ambum people plunged into an era of dark age of no roads and essential services during the years Mr Pundari was in power between the years 1992 - 2002. Before 1992, the roads were in good shape. It's during Pundari's time that people suffered up to this day. What makes Mr Pundari think that he alone is the most suitable representative for the Kompiam Ambum people?
To the people of this electorate, John Pundari is a damaged good, an insipid salt of no value.
The decent and suffering people of Ambum Kompiam demand an answer from the Electoral Commissioner, his Election Manager in Wabag, the Returning Officer for Kompiam Ambum Electorate and finally Mr. John Pundari himself.
