Folks, I think the most suitable leader for Enga today is Kundapen Talyaga.

The man has been in the Enga administration for so long and has a lot of experience. He has been removed recently by the Ipatas government because he refused to entertain bogus claims from the governors political cronies.

With his wealth of experience he can do a lot of things for Enga. I beleive he is a man of principle and has good standing in the Engan community.

This is only my opinion. If any other Enga citizens out there who have information that is contrary, please feel free to add on this thread so we all can note and judge who whould be the next leader for Enga.

DK has impressed mored elites than any of the named. He has truely been influential in appointments of the likes of 3 HOD and 2 diplomat posts. Forget all selfish politicians.

You can add Daniel Kapi, Poko Kandapaki & Michael Yai Pupu to yr list.

61,

I agree with you. Kundapen Talyaga is a man of itergrity. He is currently the NA's strong man. However, I heard he had been "secretly" meeting Paul Kanda Tondop. I don't see the connection here. Some strategic planning and team up, I suppose????

I spoke to Kundapen a couple of times and he certainly sounds intelligent and seemingly open to everybody. I'll keep him on my mind for the Regional elections for now since my close relative (Late Anderson Aipit) had passed away. Another possibility would be Daniel Kapi whom I have always vouched for.

KLagaipT3,

Your man DK, seems to have lost his integrity to Ipatas when the little incident happend a couple of years ago before the byelection of Wabag Open. Ipatas caused some nuisances where DK became the victim. DK supposed to bring him to court but..... Rumors from those who were near him has it... he was "paid off" not to bring up the case. I suppose money had blinded the leaders intergrity.

Such people are not worth even voching for.

Well what do I know?? Thanks for the info!

Whether it's true or not, every claim deserves to be contested. Nevertheless, I'll bear this mind in the meantime and attempt to find answers before approaching the poll booth!

It is alright for those people who have little or no knowledge about Mr David Lambu as an individual. Anything can be said about him.

However, I have known this person for many years and can assert here that he is a man of principle and integrity.
He not only understands what leadership entails but has solid and proven track records of performance as a public servant and a private citizen.

Posted below is only one sneek preview of what this man stands for and believes in.

Mr David Lambu is truly a leadership material.

Lambu refuses to pay out claims against State

FORMER acting Solicitor-General David Lambu said yesterday that despite political pressure, he had refused to pay out K200 million worth of claims against the State.
He maintained that the claims against the State should be accompanied by a Court Order for payment.
“I am willing to go to jail to disobey courts,” Mr Lambu said about various court decisions against the State.
He said the highest claim he had settled in his three months in office was K153,000, unlike in the past where millions were settled in a single month.

Mr Lambu, who resigned from his post to contest the Enga Regional seat, said his main aim was to fix loopholes in the laws, which had given the Solicitor-General more power over State money.

He said the Solicitor-General’s hands were not tied down and had more powers than the Prime Minister over unlimited State money.
“People in authority have not acted on submissions we made and I had to resign to make amendments to the laws to protect public money.”
Mr Lambu has been replaced by senior State lawyer Neville Devete, who was appointed acting Solicitor-General in the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
Acting Attorney-General Hitelai Polume-Kiele formally announced Mr Devete’s appointment during a luncheon yesterday to farewell Mr Lambu.
Ms Polume-Kiele said Mr Devete was a senior lawyer with a distinguished career.

The primary function of the Solicitor-General’s office is to appear as advocate for the State in matters coming before the courts, which included claims by and against the State.

Ms Polume-Kiele commended Mr Lambu for his invaluable contribution during his short term.
In parting, Mr Lambu told staff that he had no regrets leaving as he had done what was required of him.
“I am satisfied with what I have done and I am leaving with a happy heart

Leaders are appointed by God, a person that falls from the grace of God struggles to lead. Not every man is born to be a leader, this is something that people should understand. Leaders are born, the are not made.

I see people like Peter Ipatas being a born leader but he has fallen from the direction of God. If the people are to see prosperity and happiness, they must be educated to choice leaders with the heart for the people. They must never be people who have motives that are not just.

Being highly educated does not necessarily qualify a person to be a leader. A God appointed leader is the person the people of Enga should vote for. I don't mean you have to be a pastor or priest to be God appointed, the real leader is the person who is not willing to see his people suffer. It's now the Enga people's time to choice the person who will bring them forward.

I am very pleased to see the list of names of the people contesting the Enga regional seat. We need people like Michael Yai-Pupu who can lead us and provide services to each of the districts. This free education policy should be provided every year, why is Mr. Ipatas providing free education every time when it’s an election year. People like Michael Yai-Pupu should be our next leader; this is because I can see determination and integrity within this kind of people.

Yai Pupu will be far worst then Ipatas, how can a person who actively pursues and toils for the supply of guns and ammunition for warfare become a leader. I dare people of Enga elect someone like him, we will be turning Enga into a grave yard.

If you guys don't know, Ipatas actually suggested to NA to endorse Michael Yai Pupu instead of Paul Torato since Mr Torato was more a treat to him than Michael...so there you go!!!
