Candidate warns against padded voter's registry.

A FORMER district administrator and candidate for Kompiam Ambum has appealed to the Electoral Commission to look into some candidates who are allegedly padding the list of voters in their respective wards.

Kopon Nelson Leia alleged that, these candidates were based in Port Moresby and had to bribe electoral officials as they do not have people's support.

He said, these candidates should outline their policies and what they can offer instead of bribing their way to victory.

He strongly urged the Electoral Commission Officials not to entertain these candidates as they would be guilty of having a hand in electing corrupt people to Parliament.

Mr Leia said the country and the people suffered because of corrupt leaders.

He had written to Cleopas Roa, the provincial returning officer, expressing his concerns.
