Sounds promising for PK. As we know from previous elections that anybody who can muster votes from upper-lagaip, central lagaip and porgera wins the election. When count begins from upper-lagaip, they lead because thats their stronghold. When it comes to porgera and paela areas, they tend to perform poorly and guys from that area shoot straight to lead and win the election.
If PK collects votes from mulitaka, tumudan, maip, porgera and paela, surely he is on track to win the election. I dont think, Karpa has strong support in those areas mentioned.
Now, on another note, i am a bit suspicious about the outcomes of the election from Kandep. I was hoping and supporting for the return of Deputy Prime minister Don Polye, but, my suspicions are, how come most candidates in the electorate never collected even up to thousands. Some even collected nil first votes. This is amazing, given the Engan culture where we have relatives and friends and voters vote along tribal lines. Has this mentality changed in Kandep? The outcome of the election in Kandep open electorate fascinates me.
