All Enga open seats secured: Ipatas
http://www.thenational.com.pg/010407/nation14.htm

PRIME Minister aspirant and parliamentary leader of People’s Party Peter Ipatas yesterday claimed to have secured all the open seats in Enga povince, four months before polling.
In a meeting with party supporters and intending candidates in Lae, party president Wera Mori raised eyebrows by announcing that the six open electorates were “secured” already.
“No other political party will go into Enga. I assure you, the six open seats are secured,” Mr Mori said without elaborating how a party would have secured six seats with elections not yet called.
Mr Mori, from Chuave in the Simbu province, also informed the meeting that the Chuave Open seat was also “secured”, a seat he is likely to contest for the fledgling party.
Mr Mori and Mr Ipatas, with People’s Party officials were in Lae to meet intending candidates and party supporters after officially launching the new party in Wabag last Friday.
Siassi leader and Pangu Pati strongman, Issac Narol switched his alliance yesterday from the oldest party to the latest one.
