In reply to: Peles-Economist 's message, "Enga Devlopment Forum - Forming and Association" on Mon, Nov 10 2008, 09:32:54am

Threads from some great Engan minds in the past on this forum have stated, discussed and expressed similar sentiments to what Peles-Economist has mentioned. I have spent years trying to figure out How? When? and Who? Would enforce a different strategy completely leaving the politicians out of the equation. Educated Engans of this era know that involvement of politicians only brings nothing but delay, empty promises and eventually corruption.

Therefore, yes, I am very supportive of what Peles-Economist has suggested. I ask once again all Engan professionals to contribute ideas and personal thoughts. Christmas is just around the corner and for those of us going home (Enga), this might be a chance to gather together in Wabag and brain-storm strategical approaches to identify why our God blessed province of less than 300 000 people is not physically exhibiting any signs of more significant development. People in Kandep, Kopima/Ambum, Task and Wapenamanda and Lower-Lai have been suffering since the beginning of time because of mere political indifferences between individuals and this is the for ever existing problem, mere political indifferences.

We must not forget that each educated professional from Enga is a spokes man or woman for the tribe and community we all come from. We need to come together and build up on this idea that has surfed this forum for almost half a decade.

In the process of doing this forum and gathering in Wabag, I can almost guarantee that the next person to lead Enga and Papua New Guinea will be gradually revealed.
Let’s do this, more ideas please,
Reed

Kuakama Etete.
Iam Maryanne Tokome Amu from Wapenamanda. I contested last year's election and was given the name Mendaiwan. Iam a professional and I am supportive of the idea for the association. My whole idea last year was to make a difference in Wapenamanda but as the people have the mandate, they chose their leader.

However, I would like to be part of the association tasol if someone thinks its a conflict of interest let me know.
This forum debated me inside out prior to the elections, to a degree I was victimised.
As De Bono, I wear many hats and this time is a professional hat. Let me know when you are ready.

And blessings for the coming chrismas for those of you, going home.( meet you there as I will be there too. When you are driving through, call into Wapenamanda Centre for Primary health care and say hi.

tired of listening to those engans mouth,,stop and get real to this faked world of life.

planning is not good but doing is something better.

hope ou do understand this statement..

enagans most are kind of promising people that can't stand up with their world but instead of solving th eproblems they love to leave and walk in the crooked road with a stubborn heart. does he or she cares? i don't think so..to hurt someone is good for engans...

cheers

With Christmas looming, i agree with the motion put foward by Reed on the idea that those of us who will be in Wabag during x-mas set a time and venue to meet and get whole concept moving forward.

We can keep scribing and submitting too many ideals on what it should like for Enga ten years from today but if we are serious i think we should have action items.

Remember - the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.

Mac...
