Actually I feel guilty, Katt, because I received my normal wage while away... and yes.. nost of my wage stayed in Australia... paying off my morgage etc.
However, while I was away, the government had to pay an extra nurse to take my place, so it DID cost the government significant amount of money to send me.

I'm sorry if my comments made you feel guilty, I certainly don't want you to feel that way from comments, as I said above "there are many individuals like yourself that work "hands on" and do so not for the "love of money".
We all need to earn a living and survive in this world, the work you did was beneficial.
My thoughts on "boomerang aid" are to do with the profit margins of these companies that work in PNG, why are so many contracts awarded to overseas companies and why isn't there programs in place to help more PNG companies work towards achieving contracts?
