Empty promise

Tony Sulupin’s letter in the Post-Courier, Thursday, November 16 causes disbelief over the handling of budgetary resources by my once admired local MP.
Mr Kappa Yarka, you made election promises to the people promising to transform Laiagam into a model of America and they enthusiastically gave you their votes in due confidence.
Well, after seeing New York and most developed countries of the world for myself, I still do not see any of such changes in comparison to Laiagam’s current status.
Now after five years of procrastination you see fit to dish out cash to the poor unsuspecting citizens. Why not give me some too? Mr Yarka, development has to do with creating incomes through agricultural incentives and promoting a viable industry that can in turn complement people’s demand for local services (for example drugs, medicine, health services).
Do you have such long-term blueprints in place qualifying you to run for a second term?
See you in 2007!
