>Hi Sandy, I'm in Dallas, Georgia about 45 miles NW of Atlanta. Just when it looks like old man winter has made up his mind, we go from freezing temps to 50 degrees. How much are you asking for some red silkie eggs? Right now I just have the 2 silkie hens. But I am looking for buffs, red & splash. I had heard that polish crested roosters were aggressive, but that the hens were supposed to be real sweethearts. I'm hoping that is the case. My little frizzle rooster is just now entering the posturing phase & is fascinated when my other 2 roosters, both old english crow. My cochin hens sidle up to him but he just doesn't get it yet. On aggressive roosters I read that when you see one charging you, to charge at him & give him a boot in the rear. Then start initiating the charges first, supposedly they get the lesson after a couple of weeks. If my husband had been spurred 7 times in one day, I think that would be the night I'd find him cooking dinner.....Nothing else would tempt my husband to kill a bird.
