I see on another board a dispute between a previous owner and a present owner of a bird. It seems that the person took the bird and agreed not to breed it.
The situation is that the presant owner has had the bird several years. The previous owner had it 6+ months and asked it not to be bred. The presant owner has now had it a few years and said she did research as to the alleged genetic problems. She found the problem with gentics was actually due to incubation not gentics and has bred it a few years now and chicks have come out fine. The previous owner is still dogging her as to the verbal agreement she originally had.
Is it appropriot for the previous owner to keep after the persant owner who's had it longer? I understand too that the new owner gave the previous owner extra money as well. Something about postage only and the presant owner sent her more then that agreed upon amount. So how long before a bird is yours to do with as you please (after all were not talking abuse here?)?
