cause that means still 2 lbs per week the last 2 weeks. Let me tell you slow is when you go months with no progress when you are being "good"! hehe!

Yes, do hit the water...hard. According to Goglia drinking an oz of water for every lb you weigh, every day (he says no substitutions like coffe or tea but I make my own fresh brewed green tea and I count that for a bit less than half...oprah's trainer said she could do that, afterall!)causes our metobolic temperature to rise and thus burn more calories...just from upping the water intake. he says for any day that you don't drink that much water your metabolism will take 3 days to get back "up" when you re-start the high-water intake. I haven't stopping the water thing since I began his quick-start back in August.

However when I did try his 12 week program I gained a few lbs. Frustrated I went back to the quick start again (after a few weeks of higher caloric but healthy intake). I am willing to back and forth if that's what it takes. I am not worried about mainteinance...just getting there in the first place. the maintenance seems easy after all this time!! He predicts 90 days after one reaches one's goal to have your body settle in to that weight....he calls it "maturing" one's metabolism. Whatever...I am looking forward to "staying" and that being the goal instead of "losing".

I start each moring off by taking out a gallon of spring water from the fridge (I make sure it is full the night before) and pouring 1/2 a gallon into a separate 1/2 gallon container. then I turn on a full tea kettle. I start pouring into a glass and drinking the water while I am doing stuff in the kitchen. (if you drink a lot of water all at once too fast you won't feel good). I put the green tea bags into another 1/2 gallon pitcher (6 of them!) Then I put all my morning vitamins into a little cup. I start preparing my kashi and fruit in a big bowl (it is more like soup size than the usual small cereal bowl...I want to fit all the fruit in!). By this time (between feeding the cats and putzing around the kitchen) I have usually drunk all but about 1 glass of the 1/2 gallon of water. Sometimes I get my shower in there. then I have my kashi and fruit. then I take my vitamins with the last glass of water. then I start on the 1/2 gallon of iced tea. This volumne is increased by the fact that every glass of the tea is poured over a full glass of ice cubes! There is also hot tea in the evening...sometime. decaf coffe, too...but I don't count the coffee. If I have to be out during the day I fill 3 empty arizona iced tea bottle with my home made brew and put in the refrigerator first thing so I can take them with me when I am out. I try to never leave the house without at least 1 bottle of my green tea or water. Yesterday I ended up out too long and knew I hadn't gotten in all my water even! and it was like 3 PM!! I was in line at walmart and grabbed one of those 33.5 oz bottles of spring water and drank the whole thing on the 20 minute drive home. When I got home I took the rest of my 1/2 gallon of water and poured it into the empty walmart bottle. It didn't quite fill it! So then I just stored the almost full walmart bottle for another time. It worked out great and I didn't end up trying to drink a ton of water late at night....NOT A GOOD THING!! LOL!

This has worked very well overall and I no longer feel it is too much or difficult to get in all the water. I usually have more than I need by the end of the day. A nice by-product....your skin will glow and be ultra clear!!

hugs,
Dreemy
