Hi you wonderful people! I have just added updates to the "Dreemy's Dream Diet" section, I included a few updates but also uploaded 5 sample daily menus from my food journal. I picked only days that showed me dropping a lb the next day on the journal log. Granted, when we actually drop a lb it is usually a cumulative effect from having been eating similarlly for a while, but still I figured these were daily consumtion entrees worth sharing. When I am stumped or in a plateau I go back and pick a day's menu from a previous time when I was losing. You can do the math and make any substitutions you wish for various food preferances you may have. But keep in mind that I tried to devote the bulk of my calorie consumption to nutrious choices and not sweets or "empty" calories. Another great breakfast or even snack i didn't get to include is a half a cantelope. At only 35 calories and full of vitamin C You should keep cantelopes around. THEY ARE YOUR FRIEND! hehe. They really fill you up. For a great breakfast add a 1/2 cup cottage cheese and perhaps a 1/2 cup berries as well.

Oh speaking of cottage cheese....I couldn't get my old standby choice of Breakstone's FF cottage cheese the other day and had to check out the store brand's since they were out of everything else. I picked up the lowfat first by mistake and read that the calories were the same as my old breakstone standby; 80 cal for a 1/2 cup. then I found their FF version and the calories were the same. Puzzled i read over all the read-outs only to be amazed at the differences and where it showed up. Now remember that some fat is a good thing and we need the right kind in moderation. I was not opposed to a lowfat version with the same calorie read-out (the lowfat one has 1 gram of fat per serving or 2%) but was determined to understand where "the catch" was for the fat Free version. Guess what it is?! It's the sodium content!!! 465 mg per serving for the FF version vrs 380 for the lowfat!!!!!! I bought the lowfat version since sodium is NOT my friend. When they got the Breakstone brand back in I read the labels on theirs and the situation is the same. I had never considered that aspect before. I urge you to be a real label reader and watch out for all Fat-free products. the more you can rely on whole, natural foods and not processed or refined ones the better. Oh yes, and if you have to worry about salt and water retension especially at certain times then avoid the diet frozen dinners during those times as well as they are all very high in sodium. I have cut out soda completely through this regime I have been on. I never thought i could but don't miss it at all now. I can usually find diet snapple when we are out and about and I haven't got my bottled spring water with me. Mostly though I drink a lot of water and herbal tea.

OK, so tell me what else you really would like to see here. I feel very motivated to squeeze in some time here and there to update this site. I will even try to get some before and during pics uploaded soon of my progress. If you want yours on here we can do that too. I have adobe business version of picture maker and can white-out anyone's face on the up-loaded pics so we can keep our annonimity since this is a public site. If we want thought we could form an e-mail group and send each other un-whited-out pics. I am starting to feel a little less afraid of the camera.

hugs,
Dreemy
