This works really well for the eveing hours especially when the weather gets cooler and you are sitting around in the evenings in front of the TV and/or fireplace:

Take up a craft that you can do while sitting (prefferably without disturbing potential lap-cats)! This keeps your hands busy so you can't eat! good ones for this type of situation are knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, latch-hook rugs, sewing/mending projects, emboidery/needlepoint, appliques, crewelwork, etc. I especially like the ones working with cozy materials in the cold weather like mohair or angora yarns. Right now there is a new thing with really fuzzy yarns. The fuzzy-funky scarves that are selling go from $20 to $40 in the stores but you can knit or crochet one for $5 to $7 and lose a few lbs in the process! This is also a great way to get a headstart on yule gifts.

Some less cozy projects for the truly steady hand (when not sitting upright at a desk) might include caligraphy, letter writing, samhain or yule card sending, or scrap-booking.

A warm and fuzzy from,
Dreemy
