Subject: How will I survive the Olive Garden again? (long-ish post!!!)

Okay, so tomorrow I will be having dinner with my best friend (who is visiting from her home in Germany, where her husband is stationed. They just have had a son, and he is PERFECT.), her husband, her brother, her brother's girlfriend, and my boyfriend (and the baby! yyaaaayyy!). No problem, right? Not so. We're going to the OLIVE GARDEN. This is her (and her family's) favorite favorite place. Temptations abound!! There are very very few healthy choices on that menu. My options are already very limited at that restaurant, because I am a vegetarian. There are only 3 or 4 dishes that I can actually eat, and of those dishes, I'm not sure how "figure friendly" any of them really are!! Not to mention, I am a SUCKER for those breadsticks. If it were up to me, that would be me whole meal, with a salad.
About a month ago, boyfriend and I went to Olive Garden, and it was a fairly successful endeavor. I managed to lose a significant amount of weight that week. He let me take the salad with less dressing, and we both ate only half our entrees. It was hard to resist dessert (black tie cheesecake!) but we were rushed out of the place so he could get to his housing meeting. I just am afraid I won't be so successful this time, especially since I just had a wonderful decandent Mother's Day brunch a few days ago! (I didn't misbehave *too* much)
So here's my gameplan for tomorrow night (any other suggestions are highly appreciated!):
-eat a protien snack before
-order a separate salad (they come family style, DRENCHED in dressing) with dressing on the side, fill up on that.
-AVOID THE BREADSTICKS (or just have a bite. However, this could cause a chain reaction of breadstick devouring!)
-ask to have entree served with lots of veggies
-ask for a box with my meal and immediately put half of it away so I won't be tempted to eat it all.
-at dessert time, steal a bite of the cheesecake that boyfriend will inevitably order, if I'm desparate.

I still feel like it's going to be hard to resist the bread and dessert! I hope I can stick to this plan. Any other tips PLLLLLEEEEAAAAASEEEE let me know.
