As I've posted on here before...I think Weight Watchers is about the best plan out there. I don't know about where you live but around here the Applebee's Restaurants have a weight watcher menu. Maybe you could suggest to your friends that you go there instead of Perkins??

Yep, you need to accept any little loss you have and be thankful. Dreemy is wise!! And you know that your next weigh-in next week will be a good one if you keep it up and don't get all caught up in the numbers.

Two other little things that have helped me lately, and these were suggested by a nutritionist when I went for a gastri-bypass consultation...one is to chew your food slowly and to the consistency of applesauce. I know sounds gross. But if you think about it the more you break the food down by chewing the easier it is to digest and then eliminate. So chew, chew, chew, chew. You're right to savor your bites and enjoy the flavor and textures of food. We all get in such a hurry sometimes because of lunch schedules for work or whatever where we just gulp our food down and then wash it down with a gigantic diet pop. :) I know you do...me too. But I've really worked on that. That's my second little piece of advice from the nutritionist. You shouldn't swig down your pop. Have a glass of pop (or better yet water) and just take occasional sips to rinse your mouth when needed. I've gone from drinking a whole glass of diet coke, getting a refill and drinking that and getting ANOTHER refill to just drinking about 1/2 a glass...period. Try it for a few days and you'll notice a difference of when you fill up on food versus when you fill up on little food and LOTS OF DIET POP. Every meal and every snack should take about 30 minutes to finish.

I never had the gastric bypass because of a blood disorder they discovered I have. Which I guess is a blessing. I just have to work harder at avoiding my drug of choice...which is food. I was told I am a compulsive over-eater. So being a food addict is similar to being a drug addict only you literally CAN NOT live without your drug. We HAVE to eat. We just have to make better choices about what we eat. And get up off our lazy asses and move!!! :)

Well, speaking of moving. It's time for me to take my walk. I did 2 1/2 miles Tuesday and 1 mile so far today. I'm trying...and that's all I can do.

You take care and keep on track. I'm rooting for you!
Blessings,
Sapph
