Subject: A NEW PAPA JED at the MINERS '49ers today--Tim Reeder.

Eureka Rick distinguished himself again singing ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man" and he could have been singing about his own Miner costume, the best costume of all the Miners--he could be Doc Holliday or some other elegantly dressed gunslinger and looks like he stepped out of the movie "Once Upon a Time in the West".
And this from a miner who found a banjo in a ditch, and then spent all his time going to school and studying banjo--Banjo I, Banjo II and Banjo III, etc. Rick also sang "I'm on my Way" from "Brother Bear".
Grizzley Dave sang Bill Monroe's "Blue Moon of Kentucky". In case you're interested, Dave's favorite foods are beans, corn bread and collard greens. Smiley Bob who spent 4 years at the Berkeley School of Music, 4 years at Juillard and another 4 years at a place that shall be nameless, sang "Good Ole Mountain Dew".
Candy sang "I've got a pig and a pretty little girl to feed her when I'm gone", and "So this is Love" from Cinderella. Candy told the washboard players that washboard playing is going to be very big (all the rage) and the new Papa Jed showed great expertise in playing the 'spoons' and dancing a jig.

At DUH, the thinking was: two Marks are better than one..... In a Tomorrowland skit, (with lines provided by the audience) Mark I was sent back from the future and played the grand piano (Mozart's
Piano Sonata in C Major, provided by Hal) and came to take Dr. Terwilliger (Mark II) back to the past where Mark I would play the grand piano and then they would travel to the future where he would also play the grand piano. Rob (who is often seen in front of the Golden Horseshoe Saloon in DL as a Laughing Stocker) played Goofy who wanted to know 'who let the dogs out?' Altho Goofy was supposed to be the 'star' of the skit, it soon became apparent that the two Marks were in control discussing travel in their Time Machine which was now finished and ready to go, but the skit ended so they never left, but during the skit there was a whole lot of piano playing going on (Hal).
During audience suggestions, Mark I learned the first principle of Math--fish plus chips equals spaghetti (a principle known only in the Western World).
All three improvers turned in performances 'marked' by robust good spirits and lots and lots of funny bits.
