I recommendeded this story to the non ship group, so obviously I like it a lot. It's good to see an occasional guest star, and a slightly two dimensional regular character drawn out more.I enjoyed the Giles & Dawn interactions and the G/E subtext at the end,and I liked that it was not tied up too neatly, that there were consequences and Dawn had to deal with that.
I give it an 89 also.

I did like this story! Very original idea! There's someting here in that weird relationship teacher/apprentice that reminds me the novel "Empire of the Sun" written by J.G Ballard. For me it works very well. This little escapade reveals a lot about the three characters.

Besides the fiction is well written...and the character of Ethan Rayne rings so true! Great dialogues, with some priceless Ethan's quotes:

"No," he said, smiling again. "I'm not a demon. I'm something much more exciting. Ethan Rayne."

or

"Well, he was rather large and muscular. Intervening might've gotten my hair mussed."

The author did a great job. I highly recommend this short fanfic!Read it!
