Kalea glanced down at the little warrior asleep in her arms, and smiled. The enormity of their situation had no bearing on young Dante; he was tired, and so he slept, unaware that the entire world seemed to be revolving around this moment with bated breath.
"Be our friend, Wesimbi," she murmured suddenly, startling herself.
(we are one, you see. companions, not leader and subordinates. be our friend, wesimbi)
(little girl, your kind heart is a light in this dark world. what do they call you?)
(kalea. kaleadora is my name)
(ah - lady of the golden light. it suits you)
(is that what it means? i never knew)
(be you careful, ya-kale, little golden one, for in a world of evil, kind hearts are the first to hurt)
The phoenix halfblood held Gabriel's gaze for another long moment, and then they rose to their feet together. Turning to the Jellicles, Wesimbi smiled - the first genuine smile they had seen from him. And in that moment the first rays of morning sunlight touched the tops of the trees, setting the misty air about them to glow golden.
Michael stared in wonder. The Guardian had certainly been powerful and majestic before, but in this moment he was transformed; the glowing light shimmered on his feathers and he looked almost like a pillar of fire from which burning blue eyes took in each of the travelers in turn. Evan shifted uneasily on his warrior's arm, as the intense gaze made him uncomfortable.
"Friends," Wesimbi said quietly. "Yes - I shall be your friend, Ya-kale. And yours, Ya-nashe. Come we go East...and it seems that the party we follow has been augmented yet again. A Silent Paw speaks with them, if I am not mistaken."
(OOC: What would you like Nashota's name to mean? In this language I've made up, kale is gold and dor is light, and the -a suffix denotes a female, thus Kaleadora's name means what it does. Wes means fire, and imb is the verb 'to burn'; the -i suffix makes it progressive, so Wesimbi means 'burning flame.' Istiban would be better written as istaban, but since it's a name and doesn't necessarily need proper grammar the -i denotes the fact that the shadow (ist) over this star (ban) is an ongoing process as Angie continues to shut out her past. So anyway...nashe must mean something, and then ot, and the -a means female. It can be whatever you want; I'm not picky, and I only have very few words actually defined in this language of mine. *grins* Sorry to ramble about it.)
