She peered ahead, leaning protectively over Dante and Khanada, watching the winged elf through the trees. ::She is beautiful,:: she said, agreeing with Dante. At Khanada's strange words, the Jellicle lifted her ears and peered around, searching for any kind of threat.

::What do you mean, Nada?:: she asked softly. ::You don't think...the Guardian? This far from the mountains?:: The thought sent a shiver down her spine. ::Gabe will protect us,:: she assured her young friends, but her thoughts flew with concern to Michael and Evan, still traveling.
