The wolf looked to her injured man and sighed. With a gentle tongue she licked at his wound. ::We need to get you away from here before any others come.::

Gabriel pushed Rio's nose away with a firm shove. "Tend to your own wounds liren. I'll not see myself healed only to lose you."

Slowly Gabriel found his feet and began walking along the river side. His mind racing. On one hand there were people trying to take his life simply for the sin of bearing yellow eyes and speaking to a wolf.

He cast a glace at the she wolf and smiled weakly fully aware that she knew all his thoughts. ::Not that I think there is anything wrong with speaking to a wolf. It is a gift I am thankful for. But how can I explain to a boy that he should be thankful when aknowledging her will only cause him to be acursed?::

Rio paced along beside him. He bright blue eyes full of knowledge and love. ::Teach him well dear Gabriel. He will come around... And so will others. You'll see.::
