She stopped suddenly and looked up. Her purple eyes flashed once as the sunlight hit them directly. He was coming. The one she sought. Her equal.

Slowly she unfolded her huge white wings and tilted them slightly to reflect the sunlight so that, even at a great distance, he could pinpoint her exact location.

And then she sat and waited. He was coming and for now that was all that mattered. He was her equal. He was perhaps the only one who she would or could share her thoughts.

And then, there in the distance, she saw him. As black as she was white he was gliding through the air toward her. And she sat perfectly still as she waited for his arrival.
