Phisto nodded once slightly, "But of course little one, but we must allow for the human party to take their share. They will need to cook some of the meat." He trotted over to Negasi's large kill and bowed once, "Well done nephew."
The purple grunted, but he looked pleased none the less. Neva carefully ripped a large hunk of meat from the kill and laid it before the red kit. "Here. Eat something. It may yet be awhile before our group moves on."

Monet shook his head at Gwen. ::I am still not quite sure. I was bringing up the rear and then it was if the shaddow lept up and grabbed me. I felt myself racing through the caves at a pace that was not my own, and then...:: He huffed slightly and looked to Alexis, ::Azrael wanted to use me to force 'Lexi to hurt or kill Jeff.:: He smiled his felines grin, ::But she wouldn't do it. I think she's overly attached to that wretch of a boy.::

Alexis smoothed a hair from Jeff's face and shrugged, "I can try and help you if you'd like. It isn't that hard once you understand. Mostly it's a private bonding thing between you and your lir. Gwen is the answer as to the how. Listen to her voice and she'll set you free. But Monet and I can help." She hugged him tightly yet again. Simple joy at being released from the pain had made her fully accept who and what she was. Both to and with Jeff. "Ohhh Jeff, I can't wait to see you as a Silent Paw. You are going to be so handsome!!"

Raziel reached out slowly and stroked her hand down the length of Evan. "You are a beautiful creature Evan. Mike here is lucky to have you for his own."
Raz look at her brother again and offered a weak smile, there was a far off look to her eyes. "Gabriel and Cass think we are children, but I know differently. We are at war brother. The whole of the land is at war. Already things are changing, and not for the better."
She blinked suddenly and her smile cheered, "But now I must help prepair dinner. Ohh what a feast we are going to have." She moved to where the Paws had begun a fire and started to remove pieces to cook. Her previous announcement already forgotten.

Gabriel shook his head, "Never a burden Cass. Do not think it. What ever will be, will be. And we shall deal with it a a whole. As a family. I will not allow you to be hurt if I can help it."
He turned to look out over the small camp and felt something in his heart well up near to bursting. This was his clan. This was his family. He wished silently for Dante and the fiesty young Angie to be back within his protection.
::And the jellicles.:: Rio reminded him quietly. ::Only then will our strange tribe be complete.::
He nodded almost absently to Rio and then turned back to Cass. "You ask what we are to do? For now, nothing. We will rest, eat, and allow ourselves a bit of time. In a day, perhaps two, we will begin our journey. I have need to know that the others are safe and well as well."
